We are the only agency in the Midwest that focuses on coverages for manufactured homes/communities and recreational vehicles, both personal and commercial. Rick King
President
Rick began his insurance career in 1987 after graduation from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1985. He joined King in 1988 as a CSR in personal lines. He is now the president and owner of King Insurance. Rick’s hobbies are tennis and jogging with an interest in history and sports.
Barb O’Keefe
Commercial Lines Agent
Barb joined the Kings in 1997. She is responsible for the agency commercial lines retention. Our customers appreciate Barb’s oversight and annual review of their insurance exposures. Her vast knowledge enables her to re-market our customer’s renewal policies and obtain the best possible coverage at a favorable premium. Barb appreciates and enjoys the relationships she has developed over the years with her customers throughout the Midwest.
Karen Wunderlich

Karen came to the Kings in May of 1995 with an extensive claims background. In addition to her claims expertise, she spent a number of years building and sustaining underwriter relationships. As the commercial lines agent, her relationship are instrumental in securing the best possible coverage, placed with a financially sound company with a reputation for proven claims service. Karen takes pride in her ability to understand your commercial exposures and obtain proper coverage for your business.
JoAnn Ross
Commercial & Personal Lines Agent
JoAnn is a native of Nebraska, and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She brings more than 20 years of experience with both regional and national insurance carriers, where her responsibilities included new business development and field underwriting. This exposure gives JoAnn added insight to the client/company relationships. As Midwest sales manager, JoAnn is responsible for sales in commercial and personal lines, as well as helping our clients to make informed decisions regarding their insurance matters. In 1996 she received the professional designation Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). JoAnn’s passion is to develop strong ties with our clients.
Sandy Engel
Personal Lines Agent
Sandy is part of our licensed personal lines support team specializing in manufactured homes, travel trailers and RV insurance. She has been with the agency for more than ten years, and possesses 20 years of personal and commercial lines insurance experience. She completed her CISR designation in March of 2010. She prides herself on outstanding customer service.
Emily Gilli
Administrative Assistant
Emily joined the office part time in January 2020 as an Administrative Assistant. She uses her skills in IT, marketing, process redesign, and informatics to help keep the office running smoothly.
Juanyta Bass-Griffin
Personal Lines Agent
Juanyta joined King Insurance in February 2020. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, in both claims and sales. She has deep knowledge of personal lines policies and procedures, and sharing that knowledge and providing education is what she enjoys most. From policy purchase, to understanding your policy, to what can be expected if you experience a loss, you can trust Juanyta to guide you through the process with care and expertise. Juanyta embodies our family values, is a mother of two and grandmother of five. She is also an avid sports fan!
